Trapped by four walls, thank god for Arrested Development

As I scratch a thin line into the wall next to me, I realise it is day six of my captivity in this hellhole. These four walls surrounding me, draining the life from me, sucking the soul out of me! I don't think I can take much more, when will these dark days end. You know what they say, if you can't do the crime don't do the time. Because kids, prison isn't fun!

Mum gets a sneaky photo of me in a
rather terrible wheelchair!

Well I’ve heard its not fun, I haven't personally been there myself (Hope to keep it that way to) Then if I’m not in prison why the depressing opening and title? Well frankly I’m bloody bored. The crime I committed isn't much of a crime but a stupid act on my part... Picking a fight with a wall is not fun guys. It bloody hurts. Yes I picked a fight with a wall, now I do my time, sitting in bed with my foot higher then my heart in a rather scraggy bandage now. The good news is that its not broken, well that took two trips to the hospital to finally find that out but however it’s bloody sprained! I've gone all my life with only ever spraining my wrist and now I sprain my foot, which means I can't do much but laze about in bed moaning about how bored I am!
The only plus is that i get crutches  for some reason a childhood dream of mine! Please don't ask me why because five year old Dan can't remember.

You may be thinking, dude! Seriously why are you complaining its great to laze about in bed all day! I agree but doing in daily really does drive me crazy, how do the people who do this everyday live with themselves? I'm bored out of my skull; if I had any marbles left I would have lost them probably on about day two. However it does have its benefits I have watched back to back episodes of arrested development and finally got round to watching the series I’ve been waiting to see for so many years now, series 4!

Why thank you Netflix for bringing it back! Didn't even have to wait for a week to see each episode unlike the normal airing of tv. Arrested Development returns to us for the first time on our instant streaming screens after being rudely cancelled many years ago (If they can bring this back why not FIREFLY!!!)

However with its return, it comes up with a new way to tell us the story of the Bluths in a series of thirteen episodes, with each episode focusing on the life of one of the family members showing us whats happened in there life since the

With it's return its changed the formula of the show greatly, instead of following what’s going on with everybody episode by episode it takes a new turn this series to focus on a single character each episode. Showing what they have been up to since the series three finale and how they’re coping now. Of course though they have it in a fractured timeline, literally you have to wait episodes to find out the conclusion to something that occurs in episode 3 and wraps up the storyline in episode 8! While it was a brave shot it almost backfired on them, I’m not to sure if I like this new formula they are using, I preferred how it used to be but I guess if they do another series like this (IF THEY DO ANOTHER SERIES?) it could grow on me...

The one thing that I personally hated was the fact that they only had one focus episode for some of the best characters in the show and it literally had characters disappearing for several episodes before returning. I'm torn; I think that they should stop reminding us about how they were cancelled... It’s mentioned every episode I swear! You got another shot at returning! Shows would kill for that... (Shows like FIREFLY OR CHUCK!) Stop moping about the fact you got cancelled and focus on the future, which could well be another series on Netflix or possibly the film they have been hinting about since there cancellation. Overall it wasn't the strongest return for the show, allowing every episode to be watched back to back leaves you tired and confused because of the constant fractured storyline. Maybe return to the old formula and possibly put a week or a few days between each episode airing. The acting was top notch as always, it felt like they had never left hopefully there’s more to come in the future! (Fingers crossed)
